Il freakatoni del treni

"Il Freakatoni del treni" is a work by Shlomo Faber. The Work has been realized after a long travel through Italy. On the way to the train yard he drew portraits of the last passengers in the train. Out of his memory he drew the portraits on an italian train. "Gli Freakatoni del treni" means "the freaks of the train" in italian slang. This work is a series of painted trains by Shlomo Faber realized on italian double deck trains running in the Veneto region. Veneto region is well know for his richness in cultural events such as Venice Biennale.

Carnevale Concettuale - Turismo Vandalismo

Inspired by the Carnival of Viareggio the artist group "M & MME Dubois" did an intervention on an italian old commuter train, commonly known as "Metropolitano". This work has been carried out during the days of 2020 edition of "Carnivale di Viareggio". The artist group used self made "Coriandoli" made out of various colorfull papers including a text about graffiti by the italian art critic Claudio Musso. The artists group "M & MME Dubois" is originally from the Grand Est Region in France - better known as the international risk area of France during Corona Crisis.

FreightTrainWorks - Publication

The publication „FreightTrainWorks“ documents the exhibition project of the same name. In 2017, the exhibition was curated by Jens Besser in Dresden.
The exhibition presented artistic positions that realized abstract, figurative and conceptual works on surfaces of freight trains.
In the publication FreightTrainWorks numerous photos and English texts on artist groups are published for the first time. An introduction to the history of freight train painting provides valuable information. A glossary explains the most important terms.

With texts by J. Besser (DE), R. Kaltenhäuser (DE) and P. Rivasi (IT).

Interviews were hold with The Funky Diabetic (US) and Zelle Asphaltkultur (DE) by Jens Besser and published in the publication.

"Aber du siehst mich nicht" a show by Aris & TOCKA in Herne

On 6th MAy 2017 the show "Aber du siehst mich nicht" (german for " ... But you cannot see me") by Aris and TOCKA opens at the former waiting room at Herne station. The space is already famous for urban art shows. Ihe Infusion series was held there by 24-7 style in cooperation with pottporus Festival.
2017 Robert Kaltenhäuser starts the "Museum für visuelle Dissidenz"(engl. Museum Of Visual Dissidence) and the first curated show by Kaltenhäuser is "Aber du siehst mich nicht".
The show is co-curated by Katja Glaser, who invited the experimental filmmaker Ann-Katrin Pauly, to document Aris and TOCKA during his works for and during the show. The show runs till 23rd july.

Open from Thursday -Saturday 4p.m.-9pm.m and Sunday 1p.m.-6p.m.
