During a short stay in Leipzig/Germany i saw lines running into my camera. The work reminds me a lot on a album cover of a famous music group ... who can help me about the name ?

Il freakatoni del treni

"Il Freakatoni del treni" is a work by Shlomo Faber. The Work has been realized after a long travel through Italy. On the way to the train yard he drew portraits of the last passengers in the train. Out of his memory he drew the portraits on an italian train. "Gli Freakatoni del treni" means "the freaks of the train" in italian slang. This work is a series of painted trains by Shlomo Faber realized on italian double deck trains running in the Veneto region. Veneto region is well know for his richness in cultural events such as Venice Biennale.

Carnevale Concettuale - Turismo Vandalismo

Inspired by the Carnival of Viareggio the artist group "M & MME Dubois" did an intervention on an italian old commuter train, commonly known as "Metropolitano". This work has been carried out during the days of 2020 edition of "Carnivale di Viareggio". The artist group used self made "Coriandoli" made out of various colorfull papers including a text about graffiti by the italian art critic Claudio Musso. The artists group "M & MME Dubois" is originally from the Grand Est Region in France - better known as the international risk area of France during Corona Crisis.

"It seems somebody spoke to the press about some of the works shown at Conceptual Vandalism exhibition. The interviewer (Johann Voigt) calls him A. - but the headline speaks of Shlomo Faber - really confusing . The subtitle shows some connection to Conceptual Vandalism. Really funny play with names and words - the text is only in German available - maybe i try to translate the text later - could be interesting for the international scientists. The "Conceptual Vandalism" show about non-writing works on trains took place in 2012 at motorenhalle/Dresden - more Infos about the exhibition you can find here." via urban script continues
